Stanford Email & Calendar current release:
Zimbra version 8.0.4 (released at Stanford on 8/16/13)
This is a major upgrade. New features in version 8 include:
- Significantly revised user interface, with notable improvements in message threading, searching, and rich composition
- Calendar improvements including improved printing, the ability to move appointments in the month view, and the ability to re-send invitations
- Ability to tag shared items
- Improved experience for external users when accessing shared items
Stanford Email & Calendar upcoming releases:
Zimbra version 8.0.5 (expected to be released at Stanford fall 2013)
New features in version 8 include:
- New Mobile Web interface for use when viewing the Zimbra web client from tablet devices
Integrations and enhancements:
- Campus Maps Zimlet (available as of 10/8/2010)
- Webex Zimblet (available as of 1/2011)
- Microsoft Exchange Free/Busy lookup — currently available. Please submit a HelpSU request if interested in enabling for your Exchange environment.
