Introduction to WordPress

From its modest beginnings in 2003, WordPress has grown into a full featured, professional Content Management System (CMS). It's estimated that almost 25% of web sites are built on WordPress, from personal blogs to powerhouse sites like The New York Times, CNN, and Sony Music. WordPress makes it easy to create professionally styled sites, add custom functionality, and author rich and compelling content.

This Tech Briefing will introduce you to WordPress as a CMS. You'll learn about:

  • Content
  • Presentation
  • Adding functionality
  • Controlling access
  • Tips for managing a WordPress site

If you're curious about WordPress - what it is and whether or not it's a fit for your needs - this is the session for you!
