CS+Music is part of a university-wide program bridging the Computer Science program with various Humanities programs.
CS+Music offers our students the opportunity to integrate their interests in music with those in computer science is considered a meaningful as well as pragmatic realization of our efforts to provide breadth of study while maintaining disciplinary depth.
There is a clear synergy between numerous research and teaching objectives in the Department of Music and in CS. These include, but are not limited to:
- Software design
- Human computer interaction
- Social-mobile computing
- Graphics/media
- Computing and the arts
- Data visualization and sonification
- Computational analysis of music and other digital humanities foci
