Leadership Dinners bring proven leaders from various arenas together with a small group of graduate students for dinner and informal discussion about what it means to be a leader and to lead organizations, movements, and people.

Chuck Armstrong, former president and COO, Seattle Mariners Major League Baseball

Mr. Charles G. Armstrong served as the President of the Seattle Mariners Baseball Club from July 1992 to January 31, 2014 and served as its Chief Operating Officer until January 31, 2014. Mr. Armstrong served as President of the Mariners from 1983 to 1989, and served as an Interim Athletic Director for the University of Washington in 1991. He serves as a Member of The Board of Directors of the Seattle Space Needle. He has been a Director of VANS Inc. since September 1998. During his involvement with Major League Baseball, Mr. Armstrong has served on a number of committees for the American League and the Major League Baseball Commissioner’s Office; he serves on the International Committee and the Revenue Sharing Definitions Committee. Mr. Armstrong received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and a J.D. from Stanford University Law School.
