Leadership Dinners bring proven leaders from various arenas together with a small group of graduate students for dinner and informal discussion about what it means to be a leader and to lead organizations, movements, and people. 

Ned Barnholt, former CEO of Agilent Technologies

Ned is the former chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Agilent Technologies. He led the company’s four business sectors—Test and Measurement, Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis, Semiconductor Products, and Automated Test—and guided Agilent through its spin-off from Hewlett-Packard in 1999. He retired from Agilent in 2005.

Ned joined the Hewlett-Packard Company in 1966. At Hewlett-Packard, he served in a number of management and executive positions including executive vice president and general manager of the Measurement Organization. He was elected a senior vice president of Hewlett-Packard in 1993 and an executive vice president in 1996.

Ned is currently the non-executive chairman of the KLA–Tencor Corporation and serves on the board of directors of eBay and Adobe Systems. He also serves on the board of trustees of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. He has been active in the community and is a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum (ALF). He has been on the board of directors of ALF, The Tech Museum, the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, and numerous other community and industry organizations throughout his career.

Ned holds a B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

Leadership Dinners have limited seating. If accepted, you will be required to submit a $50 deposit to secure your spot. If you do not attend the entire dinner (5-8PM), your $50 deposit will be cashed by Stanford University.
