Stanford has eight on-site early education and child care centers that serve children in the Stanford community ranging in age from infants to age 8. All established centers are NAEYC accredited and offer the highest level of care, supervision and education.

SFRCC is open to Stanford University affiliates and Stanford Hospital/LPCH affiliates. Enrollment priority is given to faculty, clinician educators, students and postdocs, university staff, employees of Stanford Health Care and Stanford Children’s Health, respectively.

CCLC at Stanford West is located in the Stanford West Apartments. It serves children ages 6 weeks to 5 years and has an enrollment capacity of 106 children.  CCLC at Stanford West is open to affiliates of Stanford University and Stanford Hospital/LPCH.  Enrollment priority is given to Stanford West Apartments’ residents, faculty, students & postdocs, university staff, employees of Stanford Health Care and Stanford Children’s Health, respectively.

The Children’s Center of the Stanford Community (CCSC) is a non-profit parent participation program serving children ages 8 weeks to 5 years and has a capacity of 144 children.  Parents may participate in their child’s classroom for a reduced tuition fee.  CCSC offers care for families of faculty, staff and students of Stanford.

Rainbow School is a parent cooperative preschool for children ages 2.9 years to 5 years old, and has an enrollment capacity of 27 children.  Rainbow is designed to meet the needs of international Stanford graduate student families living on campus in Escondido Village (EV) and offers waiting list priority and reduced tuition to residents of EV.  Rainbow’s second priority group is Stanford students, faculty, staff and postdocs.  Other community members have third priority for enrollment.

 Application   Summer Camp Application

Pepper Tree After School Program located in Escondido Village, serves children in kindergarten through second grade (5 to 8 years old) and provides a high quality mix of play and enrichment at their on-campus facility.  Pepper Tree is open to Stanford University affiliates, primarily serving families of graduate students. Priority and reduced tuition rates are given to residents of Escondido Village. Spring break care, summer camp and occasional full day care options are also available when Escondido School is closed. Pepper Tree has an enrollment capacity of 20, and the schedule matches the Escondido Elementary School bell schedule and calendar.
