Located on the lower level of the new McMurtry Building, this gallery will present an opportunity for students interested in gallery management to learn the ins and outs of producing exhibitions.
The Nancy & Larry Mohr Student Exhibition Gallery is devoted to providing hands-on gallery management experience for students who will be responsible for planning, curating, and installing the exhibitions, as well as promoting the show and hosting public receptions. The students will will be mentored through each step in the process as needed, with guidance coming from the department's Assistant Curator and Preparator. In the spring, the gallery will be taken over by the students in the art practice senior seminar class for students majoring and minoring in Art Practice to produce the annual senior show. Students interested in getting involved should contact the Assistant Curator / Programming Manager, Liz Celeste.
