Anatomy of an Exhibition
This one-quarter class will give you an overview of the various aspects of developing an exhibition.

 

Student Guides (ARTHIST 99A)
This two-credit class introduces ways of thinking and talking about art. Once you’ve finished the course, you’ll be eligible to give tours of the museum for the duration of your time on campus. The class is open to Stanford students at all levels and in all fields of study. Attendance at the first class meeting is required.

 

Art, Chemistry, and Madness: The Science of Art Materials (CHEMENG 80Q)
This spring quarter class provides an in-depth, hands-on study of materials and art through the ages. Sessions include stretching canvas, grinding pigments, preparing egg tempera
paint, gilding and illumination, bamboo and quill pens, and papermaking.
