A team of Stanford researchers has developed a new generation of retinal implants that aims to provide higher resolution and make artificial vision more natural. This could be a boon to the 1.3 million people in the United States who suffer from blindness.

  • Try the newest eatery: Russo Café, the newest eatery on campus, is offering a $5 lunch special, excluding beverages, for faculty and staff through Dec. 18. The cafe, which serves pizzas, sandwiches, soups, hot entrees and desserts, is open from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Just show your Stanford ID to the cashier and mention this eNews announcement. The cafe is located at 555 Salvatierra Walk, in Building 4 of the Munger Graduate Residence, on the east side of campus near the Law School.
