Janice Ross recognized with Haas' Roland Prize for service

Drama Professor Janice Ross, director of the Dance Division, has been named the 2011 winner of the Roland Volunteer Service Prize, given to faculty by the Haas Center for Public Service. The citation recognizes Ross for "modeling a life of service."

New studies document risky use of powerful clotting drug

A blood-clotting drug that is intended only for hemophilia patients is being used in hospitals predominantly to treat patients without this disorder, despite evidence that it could harm them. Veronica Yank is the first author of one of two new studies from the Medical School.
