Extraordinary Care for Your Extraordinary Kid

Stanford Children’s Health is the only network in the area—and one of the few in the country—exclusively dedicated to pediatric and obstetric care. Our doctors and facilities bring our Stanford Children’s Health level of extraordinary care to our multiple specialty locations, pediatric practices and partner hospital locations across the entire San Francisco Bay Area. Which means that a Stanford Children’s Health physician is easy to access, closer to home.

From One Mom's Vision to a Network of Care

Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford began with one mom's vision. Lucile Salter Packard, our generous founder and visionary for children's health, believed strongly in caring for both the body and soul of every child. That commitment to nurturing care continues to guide Stanford Children's Health and our aptly named Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, today. Read more about one mom’s vision.

A Leader in Obstetric and Pediatric Care

Opened in 1991, the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is the heart and soul of Stanford Children’s Health. Nationally ranked and internationally recognized, our 311-bed hospital is devoted entirely to pediatrics and obstetrics. Our six centers of excellence provide comprehensive services and deep expertise in key obstetric and pediatric areas: brain & behavior, cancer, heart, pregnancy & newborn, pulmonary and transplant. We also provide an additional, wide range of services for babies, kids and pregnant moms.

We provide extraordinary care today. Our new expanded hospital will allow us to be even better. We’re building the country’s most technologically advanced, family-friendly and environmentally sustainable hospital for children and pregnant moms, to open in December 2016.
