StanMed iOS App

StanMedStanford StanMed is an iPad app designed to be used by Stanford medical students, residents, fellows and faculty. We intend StanMed to be used in the classroom and at the bedside. Stanford StanMed will provide clinically useful educational modules, tutorials, videos, podcasts and cognitive aids to help facilitate learning at the point of care.

The initial version of StanMed will support the Critical Care Medicine (CCM) core medical student clerkship at Stanford.

StanMed can be downloaded from the Apple App store, but is only currently available to Stanford University School of Medicine affiliates associated with the Department of Anesthesia.

StanMed is developed by the Anesthesia Informatics and Media (AIM) Lab at Stanford University School of Medicine (aim.stanford.edu). The Principal Investigator of this project is Dr. Larry Chu, Assistant Professor of Anesthesia, Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Kyle Harrison, Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesia is a co-investigator of the StanMed project. Dr. Juli Barr, Associate Professor of Anesthesia, is a co-developer of the CCM module.

The iPad development team includes David Jacobs (iPad developer) and Karl Uhlig (PHP/LAMP developer). Support for this project was provided by the Stanford University Department of Anesthesia.
