The Stanford GSB Washington DC/Baltimore Alumni Chapter invites you to join us for the Stanford GSB Salon in Washington DC, a new monthly conversation series designed to foster thoughtful and provocative discussions among peers on leadership, management, and the world.

In an era of hashtags and soundbites, the Salon is designed to encourage deeper discussions in an intimate setting to enlighten, educate, and inspire innovative ideas to tackle the greatest challenges of our times. Each month, we will select a book and/or a series of longform articles to set the theme. If you are unable to read the book, reading the articles is highly recommended for a well-informed discussion.

March 22, 2016: Originality

How does one become more "original" or create a culture that fosters originality? What are the risks associated with being non-conformist in the workplace? How does one assess the tradeoffs? This discussion is inspired by Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World by Wharton Professor Adam Grant.
