Reunion Homecoming has many immutable traditions, but it's often something unplanned that sets an event apart. This past October, it was a Friday night power outage, which didn't dim spirits one watt, and the rescheduling of the Saturday afternoon football game to nighttime, lending a cocktail-hour ambience to tailgates.

On a more serious note, the President's Roundtable, moderated by TV interviewer Charlie Rose, drew crowds to an especially timely discussion on how the country might regain economic health. Classes Without Quizzes covered fields from art to zoology.
