Peer Tutoring

Peer tutoring is the opportunity to test oneself by asking questions. Medical tutors are trained by our Learning Specialist and given the chance to share their academic wealth by listening, filling in academic gaps for pre-clinical students, guiding students to prioritize for classes, and honing their professorial skills. Peer tutoring can involve:

  • creating questions
  • clarifying concepts
  • reviewing vocabulary
  • accountability
  • preparing short presentations
  • repetition and rehearsal
  • focus on retention and fast retrieval for exams
For more information about Peer Tutoring Program or if you are interested in participating in the program, please contact Sue Willows-Raznikov, M.Ed. (willows@stanford.edu), the Learning Specialist of School of Medicine.
