Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Imaging Laboratory


The Noninvasive Cardiovascular Imaging Laboratory is a service organized around the evaluation of the heart and vascular systems using non-invasive techniques.   Currently, the laboratory consist of 8 members with clinical expertise in echocardiography and cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging.  Services provided include evaluations of  coronary artery disease, ventricular morphology and function, valvular morphology and function, congenital heart diseases, myocardial heart diseases, and pericardial heart diseases.

The adult echocardiography lab at Stanford has been at the forefront of cardiac ultrasound for over 20 years, and currently performs more than 7,000 procedures annually. It is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL). The lab offers a full range of noninvasive tests, including:
