Blood & Bone Marrow Examination
Peripheral blood and fresh bone marrow aspirate and biopsy specimens may be submitted for comprehensive consultative evaluation, which includes morphologic evaluation by an experienced hematopathologist with the appropriate selection of flow cytometry and/or immunohistochemical immunophenotyping and, if indicated, cytogenetic or molecular genetic studies. Flow cytometry immunophenotyping is available seven days a week and urgent results are quickly called to the ordering physician as a preliminary report.
