Graduate Admissions
Applications are made to the Office of Graduate Admissions with a deadline
of December 1, 2015 for admission and financial support for the autumn quarter.
Under certain circumstances a student may begin study in another quarter.
Candidates for admission to the department should have or expect to soon
receive a Bachelor of Science in a discipline of biology or chemistry,
including course work in biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry and
genetics. The department requires the results of the General Test of
the Graduate Record Examinations. It is strongly advised that the GRE
be taken before October so that scores will be available when applications
are evaluated. Applicants will be considered without regard to race,
color, creed, religion, sex, marital status, age, physical handicap,
or national origin.
For more information and to access the online application, please go to Stanford University Graduate Admissions in the Biosciences. Note that a single application can be used to apply to up to three programs in the Biosciences at Stanford. Good luck and we look forward to having you join us!!
