John Roberts, Jr., chief justice of the Supreme Court, credited his predecessor, the late William Rehnquist, for changing the way law is considered. Roberts' comments came during a dedication of the William H. Rehnquist Courtyard, located in the center of the Munger Graduate Residence.

The campus was awash in Cardinal this weekend as it welcomed thousands of alumni and guests who took part in parties, panel discussions and sports events. Even the swim team pulled out all the stops. University Photographer Linda Cicero captured some of the highlights.

At about 7:20 p.m. Friday, lights went out across a swath of campus from Maples Pavilion to the Green Library and including such facilities as Hoover Tower and Business School buildings. The women's volleyball game was postponed until Saturday afternoon, when the team swept Arizona State.
