Education

The Ophthalmology Residency is a three-year program designed to provide intensive clinical training in a supportive, academic environment. The program provides a solid foundation in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of all major ocular diseases, while equipping participants with a framework for translating the latest research into patient care. The department encourages residents to explore their own interests through investigative research project conducted in conjunction with a faculty member of their choice. Faculty members also share their expertise with the larger biomedical community through Continuing Medical Education courses, symposiums and their active participation in national and international organizations.
