Your Visit

Placental Disorders Services provides you and your baby with expert care from a multidisciplinary team while helping you through an anxious time. You can expect clear communication, a coordinated team approach and all of the information, support and resources you will need throughout your care.

Our team will coordinate all of the tests and appointments scheduled at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. We will also assist with accommodations for your stay if you are traveling from a distance.

Your first appointment with us will include an ultrasound. We will then speak with your obstetrician to discuss findings and the best next steps for your individualized care.

We are committed to working closely with your obstetrician to coordinate your care. Throughout your pregnancy, we will stay in close communication with your doctor about your appointments and every aspect of the care you and your baby receive at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford.

Our goal is for you to stay at home and receive care in your local community for as long as possible. We provide Antepartum Care for patients who live a distance away and may not be able to get to the hospital quickly or are experiencing complications.
