Pediatric Stroke Care

Founded in 2011, The Stanford Pediatric Stroke Program is a growing program within the Division of Child Neurology that focuses on the diagnosis and management of stroke and vascular diseases in children.

Our program offers hospital-wide access to a team of physicians to urgently diagnose and manage acute stroke in a child. In addition to life-changing treatment, we offer nurturing support that continues long after your child leaves the hospital, providing outpatient services to optimize the functional recovery and quality of life of our patients.

The mission of the Stanford Pediatric Stroke Program is to advance the care and prevention of stroke in children. Our vision is to inspire hope through knowledge, empowerment and possibility for all our patients and their families.
