ScreenBurn at SXSW Panels: Laugh, Cry & Explore Your Emotions

screenburn_arcade_jennsoto.jpgPeter Molyneaux has often been known for his eccentric and entertaining way of presenting game concepts and pushing the charge for more interactivity in gaming. His latest venture, Fable III, is no different, and thankfully ScreenBurn at SXSW has nabbed the creative mind to push his inspiring way of thinking to the masses in his own panel, "The Emotion Engine: Can a Video Game Speak to the Heart?"

Inspiration From the Crowd: "Two Words"

Inspiration, that's one word you can't escape when talking about SXSW. Attendees are inspired by speakers and by each other, the speakers are inspired by the experience and we, in turn, are inspired by all the amazing ideas that come out of the event. In the days leading up to SXSW Interactive 2010 we will be featuring some videos from 2009 that have inspired us. First up is part one of four in a series produced by attendee Christine Major called "Two Words." Stay tuned over the next few days for another installment.

crowd3MarySledd.jpg The bulk of programming for SXSW Interactive 2010 comes via the PanelPicker, an innovative online application that reflects the community-driven nature of this event. However, one of the drawbacks of the PanelPicker is that the submission process closed in July: in other words, more than six months before the event begins. Such is the motivation for adding a new track of "Late Break" programming to the festival.
