Cold In-Place Recycling work is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 1st.

The City’s contractor, Interstate Grading and Paving, and their subcontractor, Pavement Recycling Systems, are scheduled to begin the Cold-in-Place Recycling (CIR) work on Bayshore Blvd. from approximately 600 ft. south of Old County Road to the southern city limits, starting next Monday, May 1st.  Because of the curing time required for this sustainable, greenhouse gas emission-reducing method of rehabilitating existing deteriorated pavement, we have allowed the contractor to close the lane they are working in from the hours of 7 am to 6 pm.  Typically, we only allow lane closures on Bayshore Blvd. outside of commute times, i.e. between 9 am and 4 pm, so we do anticipate some delays, and are encouraging motorists to use alternate routes if possible.  The CIR work is anticipated to take four to five days, one day or morning to test their method, and one day for each of the travel lanes on Bayshore (two each northbound and two each southbound).
 
The CIR operation requires a “train” of several piece of equipment that is approximately 150 ft. in length (see right).  When this “train” crosses the intersections of Bayshore Blvd. and San Bruno Ave., traffic will be delayed for a period of time.  Again, we encourage people to take alternate routes should they not wish to be delayed.
 
Emergency access will be provided as needed.

Thank you for your patience as this project is completed.  The result will be a nice, smooth, and nicely-surfaced Bayshore Blvd.!

The Brisbane City Council’s meeting schedule has changed and the Council has newly scheduled the Baylands Public Hearing of June 7, 2017 to allow for the applicant and community groups to make presentations regarding the Baylands before the City Council considers making its recommendation.  The hearing will now be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 6:00pm-10:30pm in the Community Meeting Room at Brisbane City Hall, 50 Park Place, Brisbane.

The request deadline for prospective presenters has also been extended.  All parties interested in making a formal presentation before the City Council should contact Ingrid Padilla, City Clerk, by 5:00pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2017.  The City requests that interested presenters provide an estimate of how long their presentation will be.  Depending on the number of presenters, presentation length may need to be modified to accommodate all interested parties.  Ingrid Padilla can be reached at ipadilla@ci.brisbane.ca.us or (415) 508-2113.
