On October 6, 2011, EPA held its Quarterly Environmental Justice Community Outreach Call. During the call, EPA provided an update on Plan EJ 2014 and EJ in Permitting activities. The Agency also summarized the "Memorandum of Understanding on Environmental Justice and Executive Order 12898" (PDF) (6 pp, 43K), which was signed by 17 federal agencies and White House offices in August 2011. A number of topics were discussed during the question and answer portion of the call, including topics related to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
