My approach is a patient-and family-centered one. I love working with children and providing care that reflects an understanding and appreciation of what makes children unique. I am proud to be a part of a health care organization that is committed to state-of-the-art care, discovering new cures and disease prevention, and educating our future child healthcare providers.
One of the best moments of my career was reuniting with a young university student who I cared for when she had been born very prematurely and suffered from hyaline membrane disease, a severe lung disease of premature infants. Seeing how far she had come and how much was still ahead of her was so meaningful, and reinforced my inspiration about what I can give to every patient and family.
