William Benitz, MD

  • “Our culture of support and collaboration includes families.”

The addition of a new baby to a family is one of the most wonderful events in the course of our lives. The parents I see are often under a lot of stress; I try to take a family-centered approach that empowers and supports not just the baby, but the entire family.

I have the privilege of being treated like a member of the family as I help welcome these new lives into the world. I am honored by so many families who have entrusted the care of their child to me; they have been my teachers.

Newborn intensive care is a team sport, so the care of these babies involves many different providers. I'm very proud of how well our team works together as a unit. We have a culture of support and collaboration that extends to include families. It's this spirit of integration that makes this hospital a great place to work.
