Bio

Lara is an Urban Development Specialist and is currently working with WRI Brasil' Urban Development and Accessibility team.

Prior to joining the team, Lara worked at Metroplan, which is the State Transportation Department at Rio Grande do Sul. Her work involved projects for the implementation of the Subway Transportation and bus rapid transit (BRT) systems in the city of Porto Alegre.

She graduated with a degree in Geography from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Lara is also working on her master's in Geography with a specialization in territorial analysis, in which she researches the relationship between urban mobility and the use and appropriation of public spaces in large cities.
