Deputy Director of Urban Mobility, WRI México

Bio

Marco is in charge of the operational management of the Urban Mobility area, specifically on strategic planning of sustainable mobility.

For over 8 years, Marco worked as a consultant in transit systems and road designs, and previously as coordinator of road projects and public transport in the State of Chihuahua, he has developed himself as a professor at the School of Engineering at the University of Chihuahua, and most recently as a Manager of Mobility and Safety for 3M in Mexico. For EMBARQ México, Marco developed the strategy for Road Safety, and created projects and programs that have been scaled up and implemented in the EMBARQ network.

Currently at EMBARQ Mexico, Marco leads the implementation of bus systems projects for Mexican cities, supporting from the planning stage up to the operation seeking for quality of service for all users. Moreover, he fosters the implementation of public transport policies at local and national levels.

Marco is a Civil Engineer and holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Terrestrial Routes.
