People
CIS can create a research relationship for our Partner Company with any Stanford University faculty member whose work falls into our areas of focus. Previous CIS research relationships have brought company experts together with faculty and graduate students in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and occasionally in departments such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Psychology, and Management Science and Engineering.
About 50 affiliated faculty receive research funding through CIS each year, and about that number of Ph.D. students interact with senior researchers and technology executives at our partner companies through our FMA program. CIS alumni can now be found in senior positions in top companies throughout the world.
