“I graduated from Stanford with a degree in Japanese ... I left to teach high school in Japan for a couple of years. It was a great experience: I solidified my language skills, gained some perspective on employment and life in Japan, and made lifelong friends. The linguistic and cultural understanding I gained at Stanford (and during my time in Japan) continues to enrich my life on a daily basis.”
