Gaining Access to iProcurement

All University employees with active SUNet IDs are automatically granted access and authority to initiate all types of purchase requisitions.

New employees or users are strongly encouraged to take FIN-412: Purchasing Using Stanford's SmartMart WebEx class. Additionally, FIN-0410: Non-Catalog Purchases Using Oracle Internet Procurement instructor-led class is available for non-catalog ordering.

Browser Requirements

For the Internet Procurement features and functions to work properly on PC and Mac computers, use recommended browsers. Review the Administrative System Browser Requirements web page.

Mac Users:  In order to avoid errors, mac users should use Firefox when using SmartMart punchout supplier sites. Upon returning the shopping cart to iProcurement, the user should close the Firefox browser. Then launch iProcurement with Safari and complete the checkout process.

Why Is SmartMart Located within iProcurement?

SmartMart nests inside of the Oracle iProcurement application. SmartMart is used to create shopping carts full of catalog-ready or customized items from supplier catalogs or web sites. All shopping carts, catalog or non-catalog, are processed through iProcurement's checkout process.
