Trend Data

The Stanford Center on Poverty and Inequality is partnering with the Russell Sage Foundation to establish a one-stop portal (www.recessiontrends.org) for expert analysis on how the ongoing economic downturn is affecting poverty and inequality outcomes. This portal provides a venue for scholars to describe key trends in 16 poverty and inequality domains.

The recessiontrends website also provides a graphing utility that allows scholars, journalists, students, and the general public to track the effects of the recession. It allows users to present time series flexibly, to break down trends by subgroups (e.g., racial groups, age groups, educational groups, gender), and to juxtapose different time series in a single graph.
