Stakeholder Workshop on EPA GHG Data on Petroleum and Natural Gas Systems

EPA will be holding a stakeholder workshop on GHG data on petroleum and natural gas systems from the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP) and U.S. Greenhouse Gas Inventory of Emissions and Sinks (GHG Inventory). At the workshop, EPA will present information on 2014 Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP) data (including newly available activity data). EPA will also present on existing GHG Inventory methods and planned improvements under consideration based on previous stakeholder comments and data from the GHGRP and external studies. The workshop will provide an opportunity for stakeholder feedback on planned improvements. EPA also invites stakeholder presentations on new data and information.

Dates

November 19, 2015

Location

Sheraton Pittsburgh at Station Square (Pittsburgh PA) and via webinar.

Schedule

The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday November 19.

Presentations

EPA invites presentations from stakeholders with new data and information relevant to estimating GHG emissions from petroleum and natural gas systems. Presentations are limited to 10 minutes each (or less depending on the number of requests), and will be grouped by topic area (e.g., production, processing, transmission and storage, and distribution related emissions sources). Please see draft agenda for more details. Stakeholders may make more than one presentation each. EPA expects to accommodate all relevant requests, but please note that there is a full agenda and limited time. If a stakeholder request cannot be taken, the stakeholder is welcome give a brief summary of the new information and distribute copies of that information at the meeting.

Stakeholders wishing to present information at the workshop should contact ghginventory@epa.gov by September 28, 2015 with information on the topic area and a brief description of the new information. Stakeholders should plan to submit drafts of all presentations by October 28, 2015, and final presentations by November 16, 2015.
