The International Journal of Coal Geology seeks papers which document novel advances in theory and / or practice in the area of converting abandoned coal mine gas and water liabilities into assets. The call for papers closes on 1 November 2015.

The International Energy Agency states that preliminary data shows that global carbon dioxide emissions from the energy sector stood unchanged from the previous year.

Cutting Carbon Pollution in America
The United States is leading global efforts to address the threat of climate change by taking some common-sense steps to curb carbon emissions and other greenhouse gases. Initiatives that drive energy efficiency, promote clean energy and carbon pollution standards for power plants are believed to be part of the path toward a clean energy economy.

EU carbon market emissions dropped by 3.7% in 2014
Participants in the European carbon market will be watching emissions numbers, as emissions have fallen in 2014, due to factors like higher renewable energy output and lower electricity consumption.
