2016 Stanford Faculty and Staff Program

Bring your family to Stanford Sierra Camp to enjoy the splendors of Fallen Leaf Lake and the Sierra Nevada! This fun family program is modeled on our alumni summer program and tailored for the extended Stanford family.

Program Overview

Enjoy an array of activities, from leisurely to energetic.

  • Relax with a good book and a latte on a lakeside lounge chair.
  • Take a guided hike into Desolation Wilderness.
  • Sail, row or paddle across Fallen Leaf Lake.
  • Play tennis, volleyball or basketball.

Enthusiastic counselors lead creative, educational and fun-filled programs for ages five through 12.

Activities include:

  • Indoor and outdoor games
  • Adventurous nature hikes
  • Family programs that allow you to enjoy time with your children

The camp provides great opportunities to spend quality time with your family and friends, new and old.

  • Family Fun Night: Our energetic staff puts on an entertaining, interactive evening of games, skits and music, including a camp favorite: Disco Bingo!
  • Wine & Cheese Social: With the beautiful Sierra sunset as a backdrop, enjoy live music and socializing with fellow faculty and staff members.
  • Campfire on the Waterfront: Gather round the crackling fire to sing campfire tunes and roast marshmallows.

Camp cabins and lodge rooms provide comfortable accommodations each with private bath. Internet access is available throughout Camp. Phones, fax and message service are available in the main lodge.

Rates include two nights' lodging, meals from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch and activities. Children age four and under stay free. Applicable taxes, personal expenses and staff gratuities are not included.


Deposits & Cancellation

$100 non-refundable deposit is due with your reservation form. All cancellations must be made in writing. Payments, less a $100 processing fee, will be refunded only if we receive your written request by April 1, 2016.

Waiver Release

All adult participants are required to sign a liability release before arriving at Camp. Please contact the Camp office at (530) 542-5600 with any questions or email eaiken@stanford.edu.
