Mimi's role in the library
As Chief of Staff, I support the University Librarian in many aspects of library administration, including policy development and implementation, budgeting, space planning, and security. I'm also tasked with a variety of special projects addressing issues that come before the UL. I have a special focus on copyright issues, and am responsible for the annual Copyright Reminder, in addition to addressing copyright issues and questions more generally. I work extensively with our outside advisory groups, including the Faculty Senate's Committee on Libraries, and the SUL Advisory Council.
I also manage the Stanford University Libraries' facilities and business services departments. Business Services supports the purchasing process within SUL. In facilities, we manage multiple capital projects, currently including the relocation of Meyer Library and the development of a combined sciences library, in addition to managing daily operations of all library facilities.
