Emilee is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Stanford. Her current research project examines the distinctive value of voting in contemporary democratic practice, and its significance for electoral reform and the ethics of participation.
Professor Broz's current research focus is on the institutions of monetary and financial policymaking - central banks, exchange rate regimes, etc. - of which there is remarkable variation across countries and over time. Analytically, he draws from open-economy macroeconomics and positive political economy. He employs both quantitative and case study research methods.
Saumitra Jha's research focuses on drawing new lessons from economic theory and history for fostering beneficial political reform and economic growth in developing societies.
Jonathan Chu is a political science Ph.D. candidate at Stanford University. His research focuses on humanitarian intervention, the laws of war, human rights, and authoritarianism. His research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, and Stanford's Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC) and Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society (PACS).
