See below for charts concerning: Caribbean Advanced Placement Exam (CAPE)General Certification of Education 'A' LevelsFrench BaccalaureateGerman AbiturSingapore A LevelsPre-University

International advanced placement examinations such as General Certificate of Education 'A' levels, French Baccalaureate, and German Abitur may be awarded a maximum of 10 units per discipline for some of the subjects which receive College Board AP credit. Students may not receive duplicate unit credit for AP, IB, or other international exams (listed below) in the same discipline, and the duplicating unit credit may be removed from the student's record.

To request this test credit evaluation, bring the original certificate to the Student Services Center, 2nd Floor, Tresidder Union. If you have already submitted your original certificate to Stanford, submit a support request to request the test credit evaluation.

In order to be eligible to receive credit for the A-Level GCE exams, all of the following must apply:

  • Only British Advanced Level (A-Level) and Singapore Advanced Level (A-Level) exams are eligible to receive credit. A-Level exams from countries outside of the United Kingdom and Singapore are not accepted at Stanford.

  • Must have received a grade of A, B, C, or D.

  • The official "General Certificate of Education" must be submitted. Stanford does not accept the "Candidate's Statement of Results."

  • Only subjects that receive College Board AP credit are eligible to receive credit.

More information about Physics advanced placement is available on the Department of Physics website.
