Industrial Affiliate Program

An essential element of the ABMS program is extensive involvement with private sector biomedical instrumentation companies who are active in the area of developing new quantitative instruments as well as pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies who actively deploy this technology in their diagnostic and therapeutic drug development activities.  Affiliates will help define the current challenges in deploying present day technologies and the barriers to translation of these tools into clinical practice.  The affiliates will provide ABMS administration overhead support and funds for research activities through membership fees.

The ABMS corporate affiliates program will be structured in line with other Stanford affiliates center programs.  A portion of the membership dues will be designated as unrestricted funds and will be used to support research activities of the program faculty.  A menu of possible benefits of membership is included below.  It is anticipated that one of the primary features of the ABMS affiliates program will be providing the opportunity for technical staff of affiliated companies to work closely with NIST, other government agency personnel, and Stanford faculty and students evaluating and applying instruments that their companies manufacture in high impact areas of biomedical research and translational medicine.
