Laboratory locations
There are several locations available for blood draws. Please check
out the SHC
Blood Draw Sites and Locations page for updated locations,
addresses, phone numbers and hours of operations:
Marguerite shuttle system
Marguerite is Stanford's free public shuttle service, which travels
around campus and connects to nearby transit, shopping, dining, and
entertainment. Marguerite is free and open to the public – no ID
required. The main shuttle lines traverse the campus Monday - Friday
all year (except University holidays). All buses are
wheelchair-accessible & have bike racks.
For maps, shuttle schedules, and routes of service consult the Marguerite Shuttle website.
Housing
Once families have seen the patient after surgery and feel
comfortable leaving, it is advised that family seek a hotel
reservation to get some rest and a comfortable place to utilize as
"home base" while the patient is hospitalized. If you or a
family member is expected to be hospitalized for more than a week
please speak with a social worker regarding the availability of campus housing.
Your social worker will work with you on finding post-transplant or
post VAD affordable housing. You will be asked to stay within 20
minutes of the hospital. Transplant patients will be required to stay
in the area for a three month period; VAD patients are required to
stay two weeks.
