The Tech Desk at Lathrop Library

General Hours of Operation

Please note, we are closed over Winter break. The Tech Desk will be open at 8:45AM on Monday, Jan 4, 2016.

The Tech Lounge, Tech Desk and Digital Language Lab Regular Hours

Mon-Thu: 8:45AM - 12 midnight (or 9PM during Summer Quarter)

Fri: 8:45AM - 5PM

Sat: 1 PM - 5 PM

Sun: 1 PM - 12 midnight (or 9PM during Summer Quarter)

During Intersession periods, the first floor is open Mon-Fri 1-5PM and closed Sat-Sun.

Tech Desk Services

Equipment Checkout: Camcorders, projectors, laptops, and a variety of other multimedia equipment available for free checkout with your valid SUID card.
Poster Printing: A poster printing service for your conference and presentation needs. Credit cards accepted.
Lost and Found: Left something at The Tech Lounge?
Late Fees: To dispute late fees.

Multimedia Consultations

Many student consultants, who work at the The Tech Desk, are trained in image, audio, and video editing applications. They help to support , in support of the Multimedia Studio and the Multimedia Production class (CS2C). Please feel free to drop-in during our Hours of Operation or write to consultants@lists.stanford.edu and include a detailed description of your project and what kind of help you may need. We will do our best to provide you with the resources you need to move forward. 

RCC Desk Services

RCCs at the Tech Desk can diagnose problems and attempt to fix quick issues with personal laptops. However,  more involved problems will be directed to the local designated RCC for campus residents (see the RCC Directory).

Faculty Consultations

The Academic Technology Lab (ATL) is a resource center for Stanford University faculty members, instructors and teaching assistants interested in using technology to improve teaching, learning and research at Stanford. Please contact Paul Zenke, the Academic Technology Lab Manager, to schedule an appointment atl@acomp.stanford.edu.

Computer Access

All Learning Environments computing clusters require a valid SUNet account for login. If you need to request access, consult http://sunetid.stanford.edu
