The Directorate of Operations (DO) serves as the clandestine arm of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the national authority for the coordination, de-confliction, and evaluation of clandestine operations across the Intelligence Community of the United States.

The Directorate of Science and Technology (DS&T) is one of five major components whose employees carry out the CIA's mission. The DS&T brings expertise to solve our nation's most pressing intelligence problems.

The Directorate of Support (DS) provides everything the CIA needs to accomplish its critical mission of defending our nation. Serving side-by-side with our mission colleagues from the DA, the DS&T, the DDI, and the DO, our job is to ensure that all our mission elements have everything they need for success.

The Directorate of Digital Innovation (DDI) is the Agency’s newest Directorate focused on accelerating innovation across the Agency’s mission activities with cutting-edge digital and cyber tradecraft and IT infrastructure.

The ten Mission Centers will work closely with all Agency elements to help meet current and future national security challenges. The centers will serve as locations to integrate capabilities and bring the full range of CIA’s operational, analytic, support, technical and digital skillsets to bear against the nation’s most pressing national security problems.
