Green Business Program

The Green Business Program is a voluntary regional program for certifying and recognizing small and medium sized businesses that operate using environmentally sound practices.

Businesses are evaluated on: water and energy conservation, pollution prevention, and solid waste reduction/recycling.

The Association of Bay Area Governments coordinates the Green Business Program, which was developed by Bay Area local governments in collaboration with US EPA, Cal EPA Department of Toxic Substances Control and the business community. The City of Palo Alto is a program partner.
