Leadership and Organization

We are part of a larger Homeland Security Enterprise that includes Departmental leaders and components, state, local, tribal, territorial and private sector partners and other Intelligence Community (IC) members, all of whom require and generate homeland security intelligence and information. I&A is a member of the U.S. Intelligence Community. The Under Secretary for I&A (U/SIA) also serves as DHS’ Chief Intelligence Officer and is responsible to both the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Director of National Intelligence. I&A’s budget is 100 percent funded in the National Intelligence Program (NIP).
