    The White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (WHIAAPI) is proud to announce its first class of E3! Ambassadors, 32 young leaders from across the nation committed to improving the quality of life and opportunity for young AAPIs.

  • Announcing New Partnerships to Expand Opportunity for AAPIs

  • Increasing Opportunity and Access for Pacific Islanders

    WHIAAPI, in collaboration with the Office of Insular Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior, launches a Pacific Island Task Force. The Task Force aims to engage agency officials around the specific needs of Pacific Islanders in order to increase opportunity and access to federal programs, develop capacity building and technical assistance support for non-governmental organizations in the Pacific region, and promote data disaggregation and generation with federal partners.

EXECUTIVE ORDER

On October 14, 2009, President Obama signed an executive order that restores the White House Initiative and President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders to address issues concerning the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.
