242 Sun was inspired actually by the mood I felt as I was up at 2:42 AM and somehow the sun was still peaking through the top of the trees. I was unclear whether the sun I was seeing was the same one as the day before, still clinging to the day, or a new sun that wanted to rise a bit earlier than expected, but either way it gave me a sense of HOPE and determination, thus the song attempts to portray this.
