The academic procession and exercises reflect the traditions of the founding of the College in 1701 by a group of scholarly clergymen and its growth into a university.

At 2 pm, the inauguration ceremony begins. During the ceremony, colleagues from other universities will bring greetings. Symbols of authority will be presented to the new President, and he will be formally installed into office. The President will offer his inaugural address.
