Dynamic Walking 2013 Conference Play
Carnegie Mellon University
June 10 - June 13, 2013
Dynamic Walking aims to provide insight into the fundamental principles that underlie legged locomotion and related dynamic behaviors. Central topics include energetics, stability and control, predictive models, empirical data with a conceptual tie in, and robot successes and failures. Participants are split about evenly between students and professors, with a mix of researchers studying legged locomotion and designing walking robots and rehabilitation tools.
To promote open sharing of information, the meetings are organized to provide as much interaction between participants as possible. The format is highly informal and fluid, with a single track of presentations and extensive time scheduled for interaction, brainstorming and idea sharing. The schedule includes many hands-on tutorials and hardware demonstrations
