Chemistry Club

The Chemistry Club, comprised of an enthusiastic group of chemistry students, is a Student Affiliates Chapter of the American Chemical Society.  Meetings provide opportunities for pursuing current topics in chemistry, lunches with speakers from professions related to chemistry, volunteering for outreach events with local high schools, discussing career opportunities, socializing, and planning for future activities.  Watch for flyers announcing lectures, pizza parties, lab tours, T-shirt design contests, ice cream socials, picnics, etc.

Megan McClory is the advisor and can be reached at meganmcclory@stanford.edu.

Alpha Chi Sigma

As a national fraternity for both chemistry and non-chemistry majors, AXE provides additional opportunities for meeting undergraduate students interested in chemistry. Membership includes participation in local chapter meetings, planning social events as well as service events for the community. Members of AXE are members for life! The Stanford chapter was just established this past year and had their first rush in Spring 2012.

The Chapter advisor is Dr. Charlie Cox and can be reached at ctcox@stanford.edu.  The president of AXE is Katie Murphy and can be reached at kmurphy3@stanford.edu.
